Ministry to Families of the Newly Baptised
The parish aims to provide families of newly baptised infants with ongoing parish contact and support during the pre-school years. This is a newly introduced pastoral care program (2008).
All families of newly baptised children are invited to come along to special events organised each year. Families are also invited to join regular parish community groups including Family Groups, Play Group and the Young Adults Group.
Background
Two members of the Northbridge Parish Pastoral Council completed the initial work in establishing this program. We are currently seeking coordinators from the parish communities to continue this area of pastoral care. The program receives administrative support from the Parish Office and some resource support through the “God Start” program conducted by Centrecare Catholic Family Services.
