Pastoral Care for the Sick, Dying and Bereaved
Royal North Shore Hospital Chaplaincy
A full-time chaplaincy service is available at Royal North Shore Hospital. One of our assistant priests, Fr Stan Skibicki, is the Catholic chaplain. He is supported by other priests in the area and lay ministers of communion to provide 24 x 7 access to pastoral care at the hospital. Fr Stan can be contacted through the hospital reception on 9926 7111.
During the admission process, please indicate that you wish to receive Catholic pastoral care services while at the hospital.
Anointing of the Sick
Regular healing Masses are held at St Leonard's Naremburn (1st Saturday of the month at 9am) and St Thomas' Willoughby (1st Thursday of the moth at 10am). The sacrament of anointing as an integral part of these Masses.

The parish communities provide ministry of the sacraments to the sick and to the homebound. Ministers take to communion to the sick and homebound each weekend. Reconciliation and anointing visits can be arranged by contacting the parish office. See the sidebar for a list of coordinators of this ministry in our communities.
