Youth Ministry
The parish offers a number of opportunities for youth ministry within the various parish activities. All teenagers are encouraged to participate.
(NB: There is also a Young Adults Group for parishioners aged 21-35).
Liturgy
On the third weekend of the month the youth of the Northbridge community minister at the 6pm Saturday evening Mass at St Philip Neri, Northbridge. Similarly, the youth of the Willoughby community come together on the first weekend of the month to minister at the 6pm Saturday evening Mass at St Thomas'. All youth in the parish are welcome to join with the core group in music ministry, singing, reading the scriptures and assisting the priest at the altar. Youth are also particularly invited to be involved in the outdoor Christmas Vigil Mass at St Philip Neri, Northbridge.
Outreach
Twice a year the parish assists with meals at St Canice's Kitchen in Kings Cross. A cross-section of youth and adults assemble for the 8am Mass at St Leonard's, receive a blessing for the mission and travel out to Kings Cross, returning around 3pm.
Socials
The parish holds a number of social activities through the year aimed at youth and adults. These range from Trivia nights, raising funds for the Sanctuary Movement refugee outreach, to parish BBQs and morning teas. Details are published in the parish newsletter 4-6 weeks prior to the events. All youth are welcome.
