First Reconciliation
Children's First Reconciliation
First Reconciliation is held in December of the same year as Confirmation. The celebration of the sacrament is the communal Second Rite of Reconciliation, with candidates and their families and friends all participating. Information packs are distributed in October by email to those who celebrated their Confirmation earlier in the year.
First Reconciliation is intended for Year 2 students, and notice is given of the preparation process at St Philip Neri and in the catechist classes at Northbridge Primary.
Information packs are also available from the parish office, at the rear of the churches and by download (see left column).
Enrolment form can be filled out electronically and sent to the parish office (see right column). I would be grateful if you could complete the attached electronic form “First Reconciliation 2008 Enrolment,” print it using the “Print Form” button at the top of the form (for your own records), and then return it by email by pressing the “Submit by Email” button at the top of the form. Alternatively you can print the form and return it by mail to the parish office. Please return the form by Tuesday 14th October 2008.
A payment of $25 is required to cover the cost of worksheets, literature, certificates and postage. Payment can be made at the parents’ meeting or by mailing to the parish office. Please make cheques payable to St Leonard’s Catholic Church. For more information, contact the Pastoral Associate, Paul Mason, at the parish office.
