Teaching
As communities of disciples of Jesus, we come to know Jesus through the teaching of the apostles. These are recorded in the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) and the writings of the apostles. They constitute the New Testament of the Bible, and draw on the psalms and the writings of the prophets of the Old Testament.
As disciples of Jesus we are sent into the world to be his witness. We are called to continue the apostolic work: "go therefore and make disciples of all nations" (Matt 28:19, NRSV).
This aspect of our parish community life is summarised under two headings - formation and evangelisation.
